Major Non-profit Networks

The U.S. Climate Action Network (USCAN) includes many of the largest nonprofits working for decades in the environmental protection field, including the Environmental Defense Fund, Greenpeace USA, Natural Resources Defense Fund, National Wildlife Federation, and Sierra Club. Many regional and local groups are also members of USCAN.

North American Hub of Urban Climate Change Research Network – a consortium of individuals from research institutions dedicated to the analysis of climate change adaptation and mitigation from an urban perspective. Their website includes a research database, lists of climate action organizations and networks, and climate action plans.

Beyond Plastics – As the oil industry seeks to increase the production of plastics to offset any decline in the use of oil and gasoline, groups like Beyond Plastics are focused on the environmental harm of plastics.
